To the best of our knowledge, all the items we offer are legal for sale in the state of California. However, fish and game laws change regularly and it is very hard for us to keep current. Since it is difficult for us to keep up with the laws in our own state, you can understand why it is impossible for us to know the laws applicable to your state our country.

Now that it sounds like we're selling illicit goods, perhaps we should explain a little. Sometimes, items which seem ordinary may actually be protected or restricted in some places. For example, while turkey feathers are legal in California, we understand they are restricted in some southern states. Sometimes the laws are complex. Products from elk such as leather and antler are legal in most states, however elk are protected in California. We can sell whole elk antler, but not a whole rack that is still attached to part of a skull.

Do you sell eagle feathers and if not, where can I buy them?

No, and you can't. All raptors including eagle, hawk, and owl are protected in the Unites States and most of North America. You cannot buy, sell, barter, or otherwise obtain any part of these birds including feathers and talons. There are exceptions for Native Americans enrolled in recognized tribes when used for religious purposes but that's about it. We are not legal experts, so do your own homework on the subject. We do offer some very nice imitation raptor feathers which are made from white turkey feathers and are hand-painted to look like the real thing.

Do you sell real bear claws?

No. All bear parts including claws are illegal for sale in California. They are legal in other states so check with your local fish and game department. We do offer some excellent replicas of black bear and grizzly bear which are perfect for craft projects.
