| Turkey - Bronze
Feathers from the bronze turkey are naturally beautful. They vary in color from a redish brown to a chocolate brown and have light colored stripes. Some feathers have an iridescent quality. The bronze turkey was raised for food for many years. Unfortunately, there is little (if any) domestic production left (just white turkeys these days). What this means is that the bronze turkey feathers are becoming quite scarce. We are working with a few bird ranchers who are still raising these birds. For now, we have a pretty good selection and moderately stable stock. However, this is subject to change at any time. Please note that because of the limited production, some sizes and styles may not always be available.

Bronze Turkey Feathers - Rounds
These are probably the most common turkey feather used in Native American craft projects other than regular white feathers. They are a natural brown color with light tiger stripes. These are wing feathers. We generally have feathers ranging from about 8 to 15 inches, but our stock varies quite a bit so if you don't see a range of sizes, we are temporarily out of stock. Excellent quality.

Bronze Turkey Feathers - Tails
Beautiful bronze turkey tail feathers! These are natural brown and black mottled feathers with a light tan tip. These can be really hard to find so quantities are limited, especially in the smaller sizes. Very good quality.

Bronze Turkey Feathers - Complete Tail Clump - Select
Exceptional quality complete tail clump from the bronze turkey. Color is primarily light and dark brown stripes with bronze iridescence. Some tails have very light tips and others are more brown. Includes many base feathers on the top and bottom of the tail. These are fanned out and are great for displays. Most of the tails we have are fanned wider than shown in the photo.

Bronze Turkey Feathers - Flanks
Flank feathers from the tail of the bronze turkey. These can vary quite a bit in look and size. Some will be nearly all fluff, other will have barred markings at the tip. They average about 5 to 6 inches long.

Bronze Turkey Feathers - Primary Wing
Primary wing joint from a Bronze turkey. These contain only the pointer feathers and are excellent for old-time traditional fans. A quick way to use these as a fan is to wrap a bandana or other piece of cloth around the base to use as a handle. Approximately 14 inches long.
