  Internet Pricing. Why our web prices differ from the catalog.
Here's our Internet Pricing Policy
  • When an item shows a "list price," that is the retail price published in our printed catalog. Generally, it is the suggested retail price specified by the publisher or manufacturer but may be higher or lower.
  • Prices listed on our web site are for orders placed via the web. If you decide to call us and place an order by phone, you will be charged regular retail prices. Why? Because it is costly for us to handle phone orders. We typically pay for the call, it takes up our time, and we play phone tag with you (we're not around during the day much). We love talking to our customers (we really do) but it's just not efficient and economical.
  • But I don't have a credit card! How can I place an order over the web?
    It's easy! Just shop and select the items you want. When you're ready to complete your order, click the "submit" button from your possible bag page to place your order. Enter the requested information on the all the pages presented. When you get to the payment method page, you will see a link that allows you to pay by check or money order. You will be presented with a printable order form that includes all your items along with the appropriate shipping and sales taxes as applicable. Just print the form and send it to us with your check or money order. It's that simple!
  • But I don't want to send my credit card over the Internet!   I've heard it's dangerous and I don't trust it.
    Relax. Your order is very secure and your information is encrypted (we test our system with our real data all the time). See our security page for details. However, if you just don't feel safe, then follow the procedure for paying by check or money order and send us your order form along with your credit card information. For faster service, fax this information to us (800)249-9375. Be sure to include your credit card number, expiration date, and your name as it appears on your card.


Why do we have this policy?

Why are our prices lower on our web site than in the catalog? Why don't we just discount our prices in our catalog too?

Because we can't afford to. Printing and mailing catalogs is expensive. Even though we charge for our complete catalog, it doesn't cover the whole cost. We also provide an 800-number for phone orders and inquiries.  That's expensive too. And when we get new products, we have to print and mail another catalog.  More expenses.

On the Internet, we can save a lot of money. It costs us virtually nothing for you to view our entire catalog (in color too!). No printing costs. No postage costs. No processing costs. We can run our web site for about five years on the same amount as one catalog update costs to print and mail. We can pass the savings on to you.
