Tokeya Inajin (Kevin Locke) is a traditional Lakota flutist. Blended with natural sounds of the wild Northern Plains, this collection of authentic chants of the Lakota transport the listener to the actual region from with these heartsongs and enduring traditions arise. This is an unusual recording in that Tokeya Inajin has recorded many Lakota ceremonial songs using the flute. If you are familiar with Lakota songs, you will definitely recognize them and enjoy this recording. Although most songs were composed for voice only, he plays these melodies as flute solo. For added depth of understanding, the lyrics and English translations are included.
